Topic & Thought of the Day: Underground Music

Hey Hunnies, I am Mrs. Verbal Content of the South! This is something different that I am trying my hand at. This situation is going to go like a "Talk Show" !!! I pick my mind of all current, relevant, and personal experiences in music; and I tell you my thoughts and feelings. You write me back and do the same; and from here we politic! I am very opinionated and enlightened on "The Industry" as I am an Independent artist myself; Female artist @ that! So, now that you have the Run-Down, let's get to it! Question: Is it the best career decision, financially, to remain or distinguish yourself as an underground artist; considering the elements of Money/Marketing/& Distribution? Not to mention, Exposure!????? Statement: I am sure you would pose the same question to me. I, personally, am an underground artist because I don't have a major deal. That is actually why and where the term "underground" derived! I am currently working on my first solo LP, my label's (Bessemer Super Highway Entertainment/G-Life Productions) collaboration LP; along with our mixtape @ this time. When complete, I plan to distribute/promote/ & push my **** everywhere!!! But, not with the aims of a major deal! If I were to sign any deal, right now I'm thinking that it would only be a "Distribution Deal". Hit Me, let me know what YOU think!!!! For now, "BA-BY; BYE"!!!!!!!!!!!!
